Obedience Training for Dogs
Obedience training for dogs is the starting point for a dependable guardian and a steady family companion. At Andy’s Elite K9, more than ten years of hands-on work have gone into refining methods that strengthen the working relationship between dog and handler—shaping responsiveness, discipline, and confidence. With our approach, a protector performs reliably in stressful moments and fits smoothly into everyday home life.
We stress that obedience isn’t just a checklist of cues—it’s a fast, dependable communication system. In busy or unpredictable environments (a crowded street, a noisy event, a high-risk situation), our programs add structure and safety while preserving protective drive. Core skills—sit, stay, heel, and come/recall—become automatic, giving the handler clear control. We also address common issues such as barking, lunging, and leash pulling, replacing them with calm, alert behavior. Rather than dampening a dog’s natural drive, we redirect it into predictable actions so the dog moves easily from family time to protection work.
Obedience Training Programs
We provide structured courses for working breeds—including German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, and Rottweilers—and adjust pacing to each dog’s temperament and learning style.
Basic Obedience (4–6 weeks): Household manners, leash skills, and core commands—ideal for puppies and newly adopted dogs.
Intermediate Obedience (6–8 weeks): Off-leash reliability, distraction resistance, and impulse control to prepare dogs for protection roles.
Advanced Obedience Mastery (8+ weeks): Complex chains, hand and voice signals, and early integration with protection drills.
Behavioral Correction Packages: Focused sessions for aggression, fear, or anxiety using humane, science-backed techniques.
Our trainers rely on positive reinforcement, real-world scenario work, and proven working-dog methodologies so results last. Many on our team come from law enforcement and competitive K9 sports, bringing tested field experience to every session.
